Let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:5)

We are promised a harvest for doing good if we don’t give up.  This harvest will come “at the proper time” which I interpret as God’s timing.

I will strive to do good things even if those things may feel tedious or tiresome.  I have got to remember that I am planting seeds and every action I take is an opportunity to do good and plant good seed.  I reap what I sow.  I want to do good so that the seed I sow produces good fruit and a good harvest regardless of how long it takes for the harvest to materialize.

Lord, may you ignite a flame of desire within me to always do good.  That the Love of Christ eminates from me so that I never grow weary of doing good.  May the gift of the Holy Spirit of patience come upon me that even when I see no harvest from the seeds I sow that I know the harvest has already been taken care of by You my Lord.

In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (1 Cor. 2:11)

If we are to know God, we need to know His thoughts.  The only way to know God’s thoughts is to discern them through the Spirit of the Lord.

I must strive to connect with the Holy Spirit so that I may discern the thoughts of God.  In no way can this discernment take place by the power of my own mind.  Non-believers cannot know the thoughts of God,  scripture says they appear as foolishness to those who do not believe.  I must ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s thoughts to me so that I can be obedient to Him and grow closer to Him.

Lord, I ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your thoughts to me.  Reveal to me how I am doing in your sight.  Reveal my true calling to me without any confusion.  Let me discern Godly Wisdom from your thoughts revealed to me.  Let the Holy Spirit be my guide in everything I do.
